Amit Paley is the Executive Director of the Movement Against Malnutrition and the Entrepreneur In Residence at the International Rescue Committee. As a distinguished CEO, social entrepreneur, advocate, and journalist, Amit Paley has a remarkable track record. He formerly led The Trevor Project, the largest organization in the world dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health support for LGBTQ youth. During his tenure, the organization grew its outreach more than ten-fold, initiated global expansion, and developed cutting-edge technology using AI and machine learning, earning recognition as one of TIME magazine’s top 100 inventions. Amit also held the position of Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, advising Fortune 500 companies, governments, and non-profits. His journalism career began at The Washington Post, where he reported on key beats, served as a foreign correspondent in Iraq, and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his financial investigative reporting. Amit is a respected speaker featured in prominent media outlets such as The New York Times, USA Today, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and CNN. He has taught as an adjunct professor at City University of New York and has served on various boards and committees, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Steering Committee and the Board of the Center for Public Integrity. He chaired the Graduate Council of The Harvard Crimson. Amit graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
