About

Charles Nix is a creative strategist whose work focuses on the trinity of typography: about type (research/writing/teaching), of type (designing typefaces); and with type (communication design). He lives to connect individuals and companies to the typefaces and typographic solutions they need. The son of a printer, he has spent his life around letterforms. He studied art and design at the Cooper Union in New York, and for two decades taught design and typography at Parsons School of Design, where he also served as the Chair of Communication Design. He is Chairman emeritus of the Type Directors Club.
