About

Jim Welsh has built global teams of technical, sales, marketing, and operations experts to drive new technology introductions, disrupt markets, and deliver revenue. During his time at Compaq and HP as a program & product manager, he launched server, storage, and network products globally that delivered billions in revenue. These products included raid array controllers, disaster recovery software, and networked storage products. Across his career he has held leadership positions in program management, product marketing, procurement, and sales making a significant impact on a global scale. Mr. Welsh has developed an acute sense of technology that can change and disrupt the market. This led him to join Emulex and lead the converged networking revolution powered by server virtualization and blade server technology. He led a global team that displaced Broadcom as the leading networking provider for 10Gb Ethernet. This included design in sales to HP’s Enterprise Computing Group and all HP direct customer and channel sales. His team drove contracts that developed $900M in the networking business. At Peak, he sees the same convergence of groundbreaking technology, customer demand, and market transitions that will drive Peak’s leadership in optics and energy. By creating a culture of “Entrust & Empower”, he has been able to assemble elite technical and executive talent throughout Peak to ensure the vision for success is realized.
