What do Nike, Disney, American Express, Mercedes-Benz, IKEA, Schwarzkopf, and even SANTA have in common? They’ve all called upon Keka (pronounced like: “Cake” with an “a” at the end), to help build their brand strategies. (And if you’re wondering about Santa - it’s true, Keka serves as Santa’s official speechwriter and PR director for The Original Santa Claus Parade in Toronto!) Keka has won over 50 national and international awards for her marketing campaigns with a host of Fortune 500 companies. She’s even won the “Oscars of the PR industry” twice – first in 2016, and again just last year (IABC Gold Quill Awards' Agency of the Year designation). Keka started her career at IKEA, where she managed all aspects of the company’s PR initiatives and served as their media spokesperson. She then moved onto the reputed ad agency, DDB Canada (part of the global Omnicom network), and worked as the vice president of their PR division. Today, through her boutique consultancy, Keka advises the industry’s foremost leaders. And, as an international keynote speaker, she helps people discover their Personal Brand DNA - so they can become as confident as their favourite brands. After all, have you ever met a brand with low self-esteem? No! Keka has inspired audiences across North America and Europe, including being featured at the prestigious Global Speakers Summit in Dublin Ireland, in 2022. Her innovative work has been featured on TED.com, Harvard Business School, Fast Company, Globe and Mail, Breakfast Television, CBC, and more. As a mom of two sons, Keka describes herself as a woman who is “mom-ing’ and “business-ing” on her own terms, hence the name of her speaker brand: The Art of Life-ing.
