PR Yu is the Managing Partner of Yu Galaxy, a venture capital firm located in Palo Alto, California. Before entering the VC arena a decade ago, PR was a serial entrepreneur, founding his first company while in graduate school. He has also chaired the Solar Decathlon, a nonprofit global competition focused on energy-efficient building, where over twenty teams from eleven countries designed and constructed self-powered houses. In his early research career, PR published more than thirty peer-reviewed papers and patents. He holds a B.S. from Peking University and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
