Steve Achatz

Steve joined Volition in the spring of 2024 and works on the Volition Capital Internet & Consumer team. Prior to joining Volition, Steve was an investment professional at OpenView and Great Hill Partners. His investments have included Bombas, Storyblocks, Second Nature, and Chargeflow. I am a Principal at Volition Capital on the Internet team. I began my career in consulting where I advised corporate and private equity clients on growth strategy, M&A, and capital markets. I received an MBA from Duke University, where I was a Fuqua Scholar, and graduated summa cum laude from Babson College with a BS in Finance. I am also an Executive-in-Residence at Babson where I currently teach Intro to Private Equity. Outside of the office, I am an instrument-rated pilot who has been flying since I was 15. I have a (sometimes frustrating) love of DIY automotive repair, with a penchant for cheap, needy cars that are always is various stages of disrepair. And, I'm a a husband and proud father of two young children.
