About

Susan Armiger is the President and CEO of Catalight. In 2011, Susan joined a small organization named Easterseals Bay Area, which she transformed into one of the largest behavioral health networks in the nation – what is today known as Catalight. Catalight comprises a family of companies that serves more than 24,000 individuals and their families with personalized behavioral health services each day. With roughly 900 employees and a network of 16,000 practitioners, she is reshaping the standard of care, increasing access through research, clinical innovation and technology, and driving the industry towards value-based contracts to improve affordability. Susan’s commitment extends beyond external impact and deeply engages with the organization itself. Susan started the Catalight leadership development program to cultivate the adaptive skills leaders need to tackle the challenges of 21st century leadership. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and addressing potential growth barriers, Catalight enhances organizational excellence and agility while promoting employee wellbeing. Prior to joining Catalight, Susan held executive roles with a variety of Easterseals affiliates in the United States ranging from CEO to vice president of programs. Her specialty was navigating tumultuous times and turning agencies back into thriving public service organizations. Susan is a lifelong learner and champion for change. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s in leadership and is currently completing a doctoral program in leadership for change. In 2023, Susan was recognized on Forbes’ 50 Over 50: Impact list for her leadership at Catalight and for creating a more equitable world for people with developmental disabilities.
