Tuck Rickards is Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Technology Practice at management consulting firm Russell Reynolds Associates. With deep expertise in growth trends and transitional leadership, as well as firm footing in the West Coast epicenter of technology, Rickards brings a truly global viewpoint to the ways technology has evolved—and what that means for industry sectors and large-scale companies. Rickards works closely with growth companies (as well as their venture and PE backers) to build diverse and impactful senior leadership teams and boards. He also advises Fortune 500 companies committed to digital transformation on ways to leverage technology to improve everything from operations to products. Rickards joined Russell Reynolds in 1998 with the goal of building the firm’s internet practice; he went on to co-lead the digital transformation practice. He is the author of numerous thought pieces related to technology and digital tools, ranging from “WebDNA” to digital boards. Rickards began his career as a financial analyst with Goldman, Sachs & Co. Subsequently, he served as Vice President in the Consumer Group at Montgomery Securities, and as a consultant with Corporate Decisions, Inc. He was then Project Manager, Multimedia Accessories, at Harman International, a leading audio company. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Rickards was Founder and CEO of Virtual Emporium, Inc., a venture-backed internet company. Rickards is an active alumnus of Harvard Business School and a Board Director of the Bay Area Council in San Francisco. He works out of Russell Reynolds’ Boston and San Francisco offices.
