About

A little bit about myself: I am an entrepreneur from San Diego, CA, and currently Founder & CEO of Trust & Will. Trust & Will is disrupting the trust and estate planning industry with an easy, fast, and secure way to set up your estate plan online. We’ve modernized estate planning with a design-first approach, layered on top of incredible customer support to help people throughout the process — making estate planning simple, affordable, & accessible. Since starting the company in October of 2017, we’ve raised $23M+ in capital, went through the Techstars accelerator, have relationships with MassMutual, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Fifth Third Bank, AARP, Acorns (and more), completed the first electronic Will in history, and have helped over 160k+ Americans kickstart their estate plan. Prior to Trust & Will, I served as Founder & CEO of Industry, a ‘LinkedIn’ for the service and hospitality industry, where we took the company from idea to helping tens of thousands of hospitality professionals move up in their careers. We raised millions in venture capital, grew our team to 25+, and served customers in more than a dozen markets across the country. As a volunteer, I serve on the San Diego State University Alumni Board, and Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity’s National Foundation Board. At home, I am married, a father to a daughter, dog dad, love to cook, workout, and mentor other entrepreneurs in my spare time. I enjoy connecting with intelligent, motivated, and inspiring individuals. Please be sure to include a custom message when inviting me to connect. - Cody Barbo
