The Meet Group
Geoff Cook is a serial entrepreneur, CEO of The Meet Group, and Co-CEO of ParshipMeet Group. As Co-Founder/CEO of The Meet Group , a social dating and livestreaming video company, he sat on its board (NASDAQ: MEET), before selling it for $500 million (Sept 2020). He is now Co-CEO of the parent company, ParshipMeet Group. While still a student at Harvard, Cook founded EssayEdge/ResumeEdge, and sold it for millions of dollars by the age of 24. Then co-founded myYearbook.com and sold it for $100 million in 2011. Today, Cook is an advocate for safer dating apps, and committed to the future of livestreaming video. Outside of work, Cook gives back by mentoring at Princeton University’s Keller Center and serving on the board of the Lake George Association.
Technology oversight alone will not keep people safe online. Tech companies must develop a teaching and coaching mentality for users as well.
Building livestreaming videos is not easy. The technology must be robust, and scalable, but that’s just the price of the admission. The magic is everything else.
ParshipMeet Group is a leading global player in online dating and social entertainment. We support individuals around the world in their search for the right connections, be it meeting, dating, or falling in love.
