Paul Barrett is Chief Technology Officer for NETSCOUT, where he oversees the development of network assurance and cybersecurity solutions for the world’s largest companies and governments. Paul has over two decades of expertise in the analysis of network communications, with specialties in unified communications, end-user experience measurement, digital signal processing, and intellectual property. For much of his career, Paul has been actively involved in creating international standards for information and communication technologies, including serving in chair positions with study groups with the United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Paul is a named inventor on 20 patent applications. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE in the United States and a Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET in the United Kingdom. Paul holds a master’s degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of York in the UK.
