Steve leads Act!’s global marketing team in its attempts to attract interest and convert prospects for it's leading CRM platforms. Bringing over 25 years of software & marketing experience to Act!, his success in generating sales activity has led to significant growth in expansion-stage SaaS companies. Until recently, Steve was CMO at DaySmart, delivering business management software to small businesses worldwide. His team drove exponential inbound leads, tripling the company’s revenue — resulting in DaySmart’s acquisition by LLR and Parthenon Capital in 2019. Prior to that, he was VP of Marketing at Sonian, an information archival company (acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2017) focused on retaining, retrieving and securing critical data and IP. At Sonian, Steve implemented marketing automation systems and GTM strategies which drove 40% YOY revenue growth. He also spent 5 years at IBM Software marketing Notes and Domino products around the world and through their extensive global partner channel. He also spent more than 8 years at American Express, designing, building and supporting computer networks to enable mutual fund operations. There's more than a little nerd in this marketing exec.
